The Titans run to the Super Bowl ended in a spectacular but disappointing loss to the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV. The Tennessee Titans play at the Coliseum Nashville, Tennessee. The Tennessee Titans pro football team is one of four teams in the Southern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL).
In 1959 the franchise known as the Houston Oilers began play. The Oilers went on to win 2 AFL Championship in 1961. In 1999 the Houston Oilers were moved to their new Stadium and play as the Tennessee Titans for the first time. The Team finished with a 13-3 record and made it to their first Super Bowl but eventually lost to the St. Louis Rams 23-16 in Super Bowl XXXIV. |
