Los Angeles Chargers were one of six charter members of the original AFL in 1960. The eventually move to San Diego in 1961. The Chargers won an AFL Championship in 1963, beating the Boston Patriots 59-10. The Chargers inconsistencies prevented them from advancing very deep in the playoffs until the 1994-1995 seasons. The Chargers made one appearance in a Championship game in 1995 but lost to the San Francisco 49ers 49-26 in Super Bowl XXIX.
