The Raider Nation has recently seen their team make a championship run in 2003. The team was littered with talent, with skill players Tim Brown, Jerry Rice and Rich Gannon. Oakland was out matched by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their number 1 ranked defense. The Raiders lost 48-21.

The Raiders joined the AFL in 1960. The team then hired Al Davis from the San Diego Charges as both a head coach and general manager of the team. The Raiders Joined the NFL in 1970 and appointed young assistant coach John Madden with the head coaching duties. The Raiders went on to win their first Super Bowl in 1976 defeating the Minnesota Vikings, 32-14. Since then the Raiders have gone on to win 2 more titles in 1980 and 1983
