Miami Dolphins fans your team has won the AFC East title and will be hosting their first playoff game in a long time. No one thought the Dolphins would be sitting where they are today and still many believe that the Dolphins have no shot at getting out of the first round even though the game is being played at Dolphin Stadium. That's O.K if you ask any of the players on the team they wouldn't want it any other way. All season long they have proved the doubters wrong time and time again many of these doubters have had to eat their own words as the Miami Dolphins have gotten the last laugh.
The latest came in the last week of the season when no one outside Dolphin nation believed that the Dolphins would go up to New York and beat the New York Jets and their hall of fame quarterback Brett Farve. Well the Dolphins did just that by physically outplaying the Jets in all three faces of the game. What was even more gratifying was that starting quarterback Chad Pennington who had been cut by the Jets just 4 months ago proved to the Jets that once again they made a huge mistake by letting him go to bring in a washed up Brett Farve who is running on an empty tank. Way to go Chad you stuck it to them and gave the Jets exactly what they deserved a nice spot on their couch so that they can watch you continue playing in the playoffs. This is a perfect example on how one man's trash can be another man's treasure.
Just ask any Miami Dolphin what they think of Chad Pennington and the answer is the same "He is our savior". I'm not saying that Chad was the only factor in the way this season has turned out but he was the final piece to the puzzle. This season also led him to win the comeback player of the year award making him the only two time recipient of the award. After such an ugly breakup in New York Chad’s new team is grateful to have him and grateful to be playing a 17th game this season.
So get your playoff gear ready Dolphin fans your team is three wins away from playing for the big daddy of them all, the Super Bowl!
