The Kansas City Chiefs claimed their 1st Super Bowl by defeating the Minnesota Vikings 23-7 in New Orleans Super Bowl IV. The Kansas City Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium Kansas City, Missouri. The Kansas City Chiefs pro football team is one of four teams in the Western Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL). The Kansas City Chiefs originated in 1959 and were originally called the Dallas Texans. The Texans were one of the first AFL teams and was founded by then AFL president Lamar Hunt. In 1963 the Dallas Texas move to Kansas City and considered calling the team the Kansas City Texans in before settling on the “Chiefs”. The Chiefs won their first Super Bowl in 1969 after winning 2 championships in the AFL. |
