Bills Franchise History
The Buffalo Bills are said to be the one of the most talented but unluckiest teams in sports as they have been to the Super Bowl on several occasions but could never claim a Super Bowl title. The Bills won two consecutive AFL titles in 1964 and 1965, but the club has not won a championship since the merger.
The American Football League granted their seventh franchise to Buffalo with Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. of Detroit as principal owner. They are currently the only NFL team to play their home games within New York State.
Throughout the 90’s, the Bills have had Hall of fame talent on their roster, with the likes of Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed and Bruce Smith. The star studded team made four consectutive Super Bowl appearances, only to be outdone each time.
