What can you say about the Pistons? They have nearly the identical starting five (minus Ben Wallace) – Richard Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace, and Tayshaun Prince - that won them a championship in 2004. This veteran squad also features Antonio Mcdyess and first round pick Rodney Stuckey. The Pistons ended the 2007-2008 with a 59-23 record, making them the Central Division leader. The Pistons were nothing less than what you would expect during the season, distributing the scoring very evenly through their 4 superstars. Richard Hamilton led the team with 17.3 points per game. Chauncey Billups was the second leading scorer with exactly 17 points and nearly 7 assists per night. Tayshaun Prince added 13 points and 5 rebounds, while Rasheed Wallace dropped in over 12 points and almost 7 rebounds a game. The Pistons are that veteran team that you can never count out. They are coached by Flip Saunders who is in his third season with the team. Saunders, management, and these veterans are looking to leave their mark on the NBA in 2008.
