The Tigers had their best season in 1984 (104-58) and their worst season in 2003 (43-119). The team has produced 20 Hall of Famers, including one of baseballs most historical players, Ty Cobb. He played with the Tigers for 21 years, from 1905 to 1926. Cobb ranks first in Tigers history giving a total of 4,191 consecutive hits, and ranks second in Major League history.
