ZZ Top might be known for their incredible beards, but they are also known for there mixture of American rock and roll and the southern blues. Most of their success came in the late 70’s with such hits as “Tush.” The real time for the band though was in the early 80’s. MTV lead the way for this band to become great. They had grand videos with beautiful women who fell in love with geeky men. ZZ Top went from having country rock following to being enamored by pop rock fans as well. The men off ZZ Top are in a class of their own. Frank Beard (who is the only one who does not have a beard) and Dusty Hill are one of the greatest rhythm sections around and no one can touch Billy Gibbons on being one of the most superlative guitar players. In the 80’s they surpassed every trend that crossed them and they stayed on the path that they chose to walk on. After three decades of rocking out they are still together and continue to pay tribute to the music that inspired them.
