The Mars Volta is an up and coming band with a unique style, some comapring to old Led Zeppelin, with a great following. Their music consists of many genres, including progressive rock, electronica, psychadellic rock, and others. Much of The Mars Volta's lyrics are dedicated to their late friend and contributing lyricist, Jeremy Ward, who died of a heroin overdose. Their songs can be grim, but very experimental and extraordinary as well. |
