Rush History: Canadian progressive rockers, Rush has been performing for more than 30 years. Their music is based on such genres as science fiction and fantasy. Neil Peart is the main writer of the band, but its Geddy Lee’s high pitched voice and the intricate guitar work of Lifeson that really shines through. With the band completed they released an album that was based on the works of Ayn Rand. Rush wound up with a platinum album and it wouldn’t be the last. In the 1980’s Rush really went big. They released Moving  Pictures and a couple of other albums that put them over the top. People were into the albums, but more than that they were known for their amazing live shows. As the 90’s went into effect, Rush slowed down and took a long needed rest on touring. They continued to release albums that did not really get fans approval.  The 90’s was a very harsh time for the band. Peart loss his wife and daughter to a tragic accidents and fans were sure that with Geddy Lee going on a solo career that Rush was done. However, that was far from the truth. The band regrouped and released an album in 2002 and also began a new tour. Rush is a band that will never give up on their fans and will always put out new music for them to enjoy.
