Disco was a dark time in music history, but some how or another Donna Summers made is last. She was the Queen of Disco. She was really noticed in 1976, when Love to Love You made an impression on record producers and music lovers as well. She had numerous number ones in the 70’s and even did a duet with Barbara Streisand. In the late 70’s she felt the end of disco coming and decided to switch her style and record labels. She went to a more R& B style and in 1983 released the feminist anthem; She Works Hard for Her Money. She has since become very low key and has denounced her days in Disco. She is still touring and releasing some new material. |
