Formed from the remnants of popular sixties bands, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and the Hollies, Crosby Stills Nash and Young went on to become one the most celebrated and revolutionary rock/folk groups of their time, rivaling even the Beatles. Their music is known, like much of the music of that time, for its anti-war politics. Some of their most popular songs, "Almost Cut My Hair" and “Ohio” carry this theme. Each member of the band also had a highly successful solo career which greatly added to the amount of respect the band received from fans and fellow musicians. |
