They are one of the hottest indie bands right now. Their first album was self-produced, self-released, and self-promoted. Thanks to the internet generation the band was highly publicized on blogs and also on NPR. The band was formed in Philadelphia, but quickly moved to Brooklyn to write and record the album. They released a four song demo to promote some hype and then quickly released their full length. As it wasn’t enough that people were pining over this band, Rolling Stone named them “Hot New Band” for 2005; don’t think much is going to change for 2006. |
