Living in Oklahoma doesn’t sound like the most appealing place for rock stars to begin. All American Rejects felt the same way. To escape their boredom lead singer, Tyson Ritter, began learning the guitar. He would listen to his sister’s metal albums and escape Oklahoma life. By the time high school came about he had emerged himself in a “rocker” clique and one night at a party All American Rejects were born. In 2000, they worked with indie producer Tim O’Heir and were signed to Doghouse. They released an album called, All American Rejects and the first song of the album was Swing, Swing and it was a hit. The band released another album in 2002 called Move Along, and they also signed with a major label. The album is filled with contagious, pop punk, bittersweet songs that will make you want to Dance Inside.
